We plan to rapidly grow our product team by the end of 2022. We are excited to bring on the Head of Finance role to contribute to our next evolution of growth! 

The Opportunity

As our Head of Finance, you will help create and lead our finance team reporting to the founders. You will be our very first Finance hire and have the opportunity to lead Finance to ensure operational excellence, appropriate capitalization and cost efficient growth. You will have responsibilities across accounting, tax, FP&S and internal reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for Career Karma’s company-wide financial planning processes, key financial and KPI reporting, and play a key role in providing insight into business performance, supporting strategic decision-making and helping predict the future of the business. The ideal candidate has experienced success leading teams in a dynamic, high-growth, and fast-paced environment, brings a quantitative, data driven mindset, and should have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of senior management (including VP, SVP and C-suite). 

How you will help us fulfill our mission

• Building and driving our quarterly and annual financial planning process.
• Leading all aspects of our accounting and financial statement reporting, including improving our processes for close, development of policies and controls, and deciding what to insource and outsource.
• Ensuring our financial operations and processes (AP, AR, etc) work smoothly and efficiently and optimize our cash flow performance.
• Ensuring compliance with federal and local tax policies.
• Establish necessary reporting and financial controls, and strategic planning for key financial inflection points.
• Enhance internal financial management, establishing and maintaining KPI tracking, and strengthening operational infrastructure across all departmentsProven ability to attract and retain talent, while building an organization.
• Strong executive presence in leading teams and working cross-functionally.
• Ability to navigate through challenges, multi-task, take ownership, and deliver on commitments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent soft-skills and ability to motivate and influence all levels of management
• Provide leadership and vision for scaling our financial infrastructure and our accounting team

• Strong executive leadership skills with experience partnering at the board, investor, and executive management levels
